Rock Family Church held its first service on Jan 28, 2007. Packed into a hotel conference room, we met with a common desire: to see the community impacted by the love of God. We quickly outgrew the conference room and needed a larger home. On Mother's Day 2007, Rock Family Church moved to the Pacific Eagle's Hall.
For more than 2 1/2 years, a dedicated group of volunteers arrived two hours early every Sunday to set-up the chairs, sound system, lighting, projection, instruments, guest table and a nursery/children's classroom. They also stayed after to tear-down and pack everything back into our trailer to be stored until the following week.
In the fall of 2008, after adding several new faces to the crowd, Pastor Todd Hardaway decided it was time to find a permanent place to call home. In February 2009, RFC signed the lease on its new home at 3330 W. Osage. It had been a furniture showroom so the building had to be renovated. The people quickly began putting-up walls, running electric, hanging drywall, mudding, taping, painting, etc., to get the building ready to be called home.
On August 16, 2009, Rock Family Church moved into its new home.
